About the Project
Youth Re:Build is an international initiative that empowers young people to actively participate in shaping the cities they live in. By bringing together youth organizations, municipalities, urban planners, and community leaders, the project creates a collaborative environment where ideas for better public spaces can grow and take shape.
Impact and Vision
The long-term vision of Youth Re:Build is to create a culture where young people are regularly involved in shaping urban policies and public spaces. By connecting participants from different countries, the project encourages the exchange of ideas, experiences, and innovative approaches to city-making. The knowledge and solutions developed during the project will contribute to new models of participatory urban development across Europe. Ultimately, Youth Re:Build aims to inspire a new generation of active citizens who see their cities not only as places to live but also as spaces they have the power to transform.

Why Youth Participation Matters
Public spaces play a vital role in everyday life. They are places where communities connect, cultures meet, and creativity flourishes. However, many urban spaces are designed without considering the needs and perspectives of young people. Youth Re:Build aims to change this by placing youth at the center of urban transformation. When young people are involved in shaping their environments, they bring fresh ideas, innovative solutions, and a strong commitment to sustainability and inclusion. By encouraging dialogue between youth and local decision-makers, the project helps create cities that reflect the needs, aspirations, and diversity of the communities they serve.
Collaborative Workshop
Collaborative workshops bring together young people, local stakeholders, and urban experts to exchange ideas and co-create solutions for better public spaces. Through hands-on activities, design exercises, and open discussions, participants explore how cities can become more inclusive, sustainable, and responsive to community needs.
These workshops create a platform where youth voices are heard and transformed into practical proposals. By combining creativity, collaboration, and dialogue with policymakers, the project helps shape innovative approaches to urban development across Europe.
